Cisco Exec to Speak About Accountability. Oracle Faces New Threat

Cisco Chief Marketing
Officer James Richardson will deliver a
speech about balancing creativity with business accountability at the CMO
Council’s European Summit later this year in London. Asynchronous Java web
services development combined with XML, or AJAX as it’s being called, “is now a
hot topic in the application developer community," according to ClearNova
VP Steve Benfield. Aviation upstart JetBlue is
using SOA Software’s Service Manager to create its new web services
architecture. EnterpriseDB recently won a
LinuxWorld Conference award for Best Database Solution, and company co-founder
Andy Astor told SYS-CON.TV that the company will, in fact, be competing for
Oracle’s database business.
